Band Message:

Greetings friends and fans of Ghost Riders Car Club!

I want to invite you to start your weekend with us at the Atlanta Brewing Company, the home of Red Brick Ale! ( http://www.atlantabrewing.com/ )  As you can see below, it'll be an early start and we'll be playing 2 sets.

We're playing an early show this Friday, October 16.  We play our first set around 6 and the second one a little after 7.   It's looking like we'll have the bandstand full for this show.  I expect to see a good number of Ghost Riders at this shindig including - Marco Sunset (aka Frank), Ernie, James, Ted, Spike, Page(!), and me.

Everybody tells me these shows are a real blast, not to mention you get a free tour of one of Atlanta's home-town breweries.  It's a family friendly atmosphere and the show ends early, so you still have plenty of time to enjoy your Friday evening.

This is from the folks at Atlanta Brewing Company:

WHAT CAN BE SAID LEGALLY SAY ABOUT THE SHOW... Breweries have to follow strict guidelines in the State of GA. The tour/tasting is free and there's no cover charge for the band, however most patrons buy a souvenir glass ($7) that they can take home because it's better to drink from than a tiny plastic tasting cup. We DO NOT SELL BEER by the glass. Patrons get 4 tokens for beer samples-about an 8-10oz pour. You must be at least 21 to enter. We're ok with well-behaved younger children coming in-we just can't worry about the guitar player's 20 year old cousin who promises not to drink. Basically it's under 7 or over 21...

There's plenty of free parking.

The band will play 2 sets (40 minutes each) between 6:00pm and 8:15pm. We suggest the bandstart the first set at 6:05pm and end around 6:45pm. The second set always starts after the brewery tour. The brewery tour ends around 7:20pm, so we suggest the bandstart around 7:25pm and play until 8:05.

There's a map showing our location on our website:

Band Message:

Greetings friends and fans of Ghost Riders Car Club!

This weekend marks the 10th anniversary of The Drive-Invasion.  This year Atlanta’s coolest car show has been cut down to just one day.  So to make up for that hipness deficit, we’re throwing a pre-Drive-Invasion party at the Star Bar Saturday night.  We’re going to run the show a little earlier than usual to give everyone a chance to get a little rest before a long day of hard partying at the Starlight Sunday.

The party headliner, Pardner, will be laying down their cool country tinged tunes around 11:30, but the part I really think you want to see starts at 9:30 on Saturday night.  That is when The Ghost Riders Car Club takes the stage.  We have some cool new songs that you’re guaranteed to like but the best part is we are welcoming our newest Car Club member, Amy Pike-Taylor!

Amy’s starting the first satellite chapter of the Ghost Riders Car Club up in Ashville, NC, the town she now calls home.   Her initiation to the club brings her to Atlanta for a special performance.   Amy hasn’t played the Star Bar in many years.  You might remember some of the great bands she had that played there in the past like Grease Trap, Lost Continentals, and Amy Pike and the Last Cold Beer.  You might also have caught her recently with The Bonaventure Quartet, but this show is going to feature Amy singing some of the country/swing songs that made her famous.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you there.  Enjoy the flyer, made by the talented Bryan Malone, who is responsible for putting this show together.  Print the flyer and put it up any where you can think of and forward this email to any friends you might have that need to have some fun on a Saturday night.

 See you there!

Joe Hamm
